Historical Significance
Shortly after his explorations with analogue technology, Csuri began exploring the digital realm. Dignified Lady is one of Csuri’s first digital-based plotter drawings and reflects his interest in creating a work that had a less mechanical feel and appearance. He explored the small random movements of individual lines from a digitized drawing, thereby creating the outline of a woman’s facial features and head, wrapped in a thick shawl. The drawing shows the artist's attempts to create the effect of shading.
