Historical Significance
The early to middle 1990s brought Csuri greater technological flexibility and an increased set of algorithmic tools. Dance of the Sorcerers, also referred to as Fragmented Dancers, is one of Csuris earliest works that used Frank, a now defunct program designed by Matthew Lewis. Prior to the development of Frank, available data for human forms was limited and relatively static. Lewis software allowed Csuri to position human figures, giving the artist greater flexibility to work between the realms of representation and abstraction.
